As you may know, our company's mission is to help you be the best business advisor you can be.

However, that is not how it started.

What happened was that in 2005, I had started coaching small businesses after many years as a serial entrepreneur myself.

But I had a challenge.

It turned out to be an overwhelming job to advise entrepreneurs of different industries, life stages, and sizes, who all had many different needs.

Yet, my real problem was that I was not organized, and I realized that I needed a system of tools, practices, and business information to help me work with any type of client.

So I designed the GrowthWheel Business Advisory System where I had a place for everything, and everything in its right place.

And that’s how GrowthWheel came to life.

It helped me be a better business advisor, and now my hope is that it can do the same for you.

GrowthWheel is a worldwide recognized Business Advisory System designed for small business advisors to help entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses.

GrowthWheel International was founded in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2005 by serial entrepreneur David Madié based on the idea that there had to be an alternative to the conventional business plan — a better way to support the decision-making and action planning that takes place in companies every day.

In 2008 GrowthWheel changed its business model from training and coaching entrepreneurs to delivering a Certification Program a Business Tool Library and a Software Platform to business advisors, who discovered the potential for using it in 1:1 advisory sessions with client companies and for client workshops.

In 2010 GrowthWheel International Inc. was incorporated in New York City to launch in the United States, and in 2015 a subsidiary joint venture was created in Johannesburg, South Africa. 

Today GrowthWheel is also incorporated in Canada and Norway and has business partners in Brazil, Jordan, Sweden, Malaysia, and Australia.

Today, GrowthWheel has trained and certified 4,400+ small business advisors, women business advisors, incubator managers, lending specialists, business consultants, and entrepreneurship educators in 49 states in the US and in 70+ countries around the world.

The tools and software have been translated into over 18 languages so far.
